Reunion 2011 - Witheridge Family History Society

HOME

Date: - - Saturday, 11 June 2011, 11:00 am

Venue: - - Methodist Hall, West Street, Somerton, Somerset

The final Agenda for the Society's 2011 Annual General Meeting has to be published in the Spring 2011 issue of Witheridge Times, to be with members at least 28 days before the AGM. This is so that members are fully informed of nominations for Committee posts, and any proposals concerning the future running of the Society. The aim is to get the Spring issue out to members by the end of April.

As the Society is currently without a Secretary, it falls to others on the Committee, notably the Chairman (Jason Cook), Membership Secretary (Richard Witheridge), and Editor (Kim Cook), to ensure that we have all the necessary proposals and nominations, duly seconded, to hand by 18 April 2011.

We need to have nominations, duly seconded, for all posts. Existing Committee members who are willing to stand again are listed above, but please remember that they need to be nominated and seconded. We also need new nominations, with seconds, for the following posts:

Secretary Assistant Editor Webmaster Committee Member Auditor

None of these posts is particularly arduous, but the jobs need to be done if we are to continue to run the Society successfully. If you are willing to stand for any of these posts, or if you know someone who would be willing, please let us know as soon as possible. We also need to appoint a Representative or Representatives for Canada and/or North America.

Proposals

We are keen to hear any other proposals from members as to how you would like to see the Society run, and what additional services, if any, you would like to have from the Society. Would you like to see more local gatherings during the year? Where would you like to have next year's Reunion and AGM? This will be our 25th Anniversary – quite a milestone! Which charity would you like us to support with our Christmas Cards this year? What would you like to see on the refurbished web-site? We need feedback from members to ensure that the Society is run according to your wishes.
